Leisure tips: Villette Park and (Mini-)Golf
One of the most beautiful places in Cham is the expansive Villette Park right by the lake. Just a few steps from the village center and directly behind Cham station, this popular recreational area invites you to stroll, play, and relax. The park covers an impressive 46,000 square meters and was artistically designed in the English style in 1865. Whether it’s enjoying a coffee at Villa Villette, playing on the playground, or having a round of mini-golf – both young and old love spending their leisure time in Villette Park. Speaking of golf, just five minutes by car from Cham is the Holzhäusern Golf Park. The large, well-maintained facility offers a stunning view of the lake.

Just a few steps from the developing CHAMA residential area, the recreational area by the Lorze beckons. Nestled idyllically between the Lorze riverbank and the small forest gorge of Teuflibach, distinctive groups of trees, species-rich forest edges, wild hedges, and wildflower meadows spread across over 60,000 square meters, creating a park-like environment with benches, fire pits, and walking paths. Whether swimming, strolling, grilling, jogging, or cycling – it’s the perfect place to clear your mind, linger, and relax.

Art, Culture, and Sports
The tax-friendly municipality of Cham also has a lot to offer in terms of culture and sports. Whether it’s comedy, theater, or concerts, the cultural program at Lorzensaal Cham delights with its diversity. In the KunstKubus, a former public restroom converted into a small arts venue, visitors can admire works by local artists. Football fans are also well-catered for in Cham: the Eizmoos Stadium is in immediate proximity. Perfect for all those who love ball sports – whether as spectators or participants in SC Cham.

Afternoon Tea at the Umami Tea House
Cham offers a wide range of dining options. One of these culinary gems is the Umami Tea House in the city center. Here, you can enjoy selected tea specialties from around the world, freshly baked scones, and a wonderful afternoon tea in the English tradition. Why not combine your visit to our showroom with a delightful break at the Umami Tea House?

Perfect Connections – From Cham Everywhere
From CHAMA, you can enjoy perfect connections to Zug, Lucerne, Zurich, and the canton of Aargau, both by car and by bus and train. The bus stop “Lorzenpark” is just a two-minute walk away. From there, bus line 42 goes to Cham station. The S1 train runs every 15 minutes to Zug, with connections to Zurich HB. By car, you can reach the A4 highway towards Zurich or Lucerne in just a few minutes. With the upcoming Cham-Hünenberg bypass, CHAMA will be even better connected.

A Dream for Families
The city of Cham and the CHAMA residential area are very family-friendly. Numerous playgrounds, parks, and recreational facilities invite you to linger. Adjacent to the district, the Lorzenpark offers beautiful fire pits and the adventure playground Teuflibach. In addition to play and fun, education is also well catered for: the Children’s World daycare and the International School of Central Switzerland are practically on your doorstep in the “Lorzenpark.” The Röhrliberg and Städtli schools can be reached with a short walk or by bike. The public high school is located in the city of Zug, easily accessible by bus and S-Bahn.
